All of our products are suitable for Vegans, our stance on a cruelty-free and plant-based lifestyle means that we do not use any animal derived ingredients. We do not test any of our products or ingredients on animals, we only test on ourselves. We are certified Cruelty Free and Vegan by PETA. (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals)

We don’t use alcohol in our skincare. Ingredients such as cetearyl, stearyl, or cetyl alcohol, known as fatty alcohols are used to create an oil and water emulsion such as a cream. They are both naturally derived and plant-based. Fatty alcohols are a hybrid between alcohols and fatty acids or oils. They are waxy substances that are solid at room temperature. These are very different from alcohol in the liquid form such as ethyl alcohol, ethanol, or denatured alcohol which evaporate very quickly on the skin drawing moisture away which is why they can drying to the skin. Conversely, fatty alcohols add emollience to skincare products smoothing the skin, they are moisturising and nourishing to the skin because they have humectant properties that hold water in the skin keeping it hydrated and reducing trans epidermal water loss. We use fatty alcohols in our Eye Cream and Face Cream.

Although allergic reactions to our products are very rare, if you think you have suffered an allergic reaction, please stop using the product. It is possible to be allergic to any ingredient including essential oils and other natural ingredients. If you suspect you have a sensitivity we would strongly recommend that you patch test a small amount of any new product on the inside of your elbow and wait for 24 hours. If you experience any redness or tingling you should return the product for a refund.

None of our products contain ingredients at levels that should cause concern during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or while trying to conceive. Certain products, however, contain ingredients such as essential oils that some women choose to avoid entirely during pregnancy. When it comes to using any personal care products while pregnant or nursing, we recommend you take guidance from your healthcare professional. Each product’s ingredients list is visible on the ingredient tab on the individual product listing.
